Author Bio: Cliff Etzel
Cliff is one of the longest serving members of Deeper Blue. He came on board in January 1999 when Deeper Blue teamed up with Freediving-mag.com.
His professional background includes working as a photojournalist (12+ years) - first as a freelancer (including stringer for the Associated Press), and also as a staffer for several small to medium sized newspapers. This includes being a sports/feature writer/photographer for a small bi-weekly newspaper. Some of his accomplishments include winning several regional photojournalism awards while working in newspaper and being accepted into a prestigious photojournalism workshop which was by portfolio submission only for photodocumentary work he had done.
From there Cliff moved to becoming photo editor for a couple of specialty magazine publications, and now he writes and shoots photo's as a freelancer (again).
Currently he is working on an e-Book, beginning to develop a stock library shot totally in digital format related to freediving and travel, and working to become a freedive instructor.
