Web Designer, Underwater Videographer and Digital Photographer Rodger Klein has been video and still images since 1971. He studied Photography and Design at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, and has a Master of Fine Arts degree from UCLA.
Rod taught Photo and Video courses at UCLA and Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles and was one of the first to use the first Sony portable video "portapaks" in 1971. Along with his brother, Rod produced and directed a 30-minute documentary for PBS in 1975. He has two emmy nominations and 2 DV Magazine Media Masters Awards.
Rod previously worked over 15 years in the television industry as an editor, special effects graphics designer and director. He worked for Entertainment Tonight for six years and has directed and edited numerous commercials and music videos. Ten years ago, Rod became a PADI Open Water Instructor and then a Master Scuba Diver Trainer. He is also a Nitrox Instructor and is certified to teach seven specialty courses.Together with Wayne Hasson, Rod authored the Underwater Digital Imaging Distinctive Specialty.
Rod worked as dive instructor and dive guide in Kona, Hawaii for five years and also at Club Med in the Turks & Caicos and Cancun. He has over 2,000 logged dives. Wanting to combine his love of diving and dive instruction with his creative background, Rod has developed his web and digital skills over the past years. He has extensive experience with digital video and stills. He is an expert in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and most web and digital media tools. In addition, Rod is a beta software tester for numerous graphics software products including Boris Effects, Adobe Premiere and Media Cleaner Pro.
