Author Bio: Glyn Emmerson
Born in northern England and raised in New York City, Glyn has been diving since 1992 in the United States, Central America, the Caribbean and Southeast Asia. He has been backpacking the world at large since his first solo venture to Thurso, Scotland at the tip of the UK in 1983. Photojournalist and rock music photographer, his photos have appeared in numerous publications nationally and can be viewed at www.ROKPIX.com.
He divides his time by day counseling students in a truancy outreach program and by night photographing and reviewing rock concerts. He travels off season "wherever the wind doesn't blow, the food's edible and the vis is good" and adds "Diving combines the adrenalin rush of a heavy metal show with the calm serenity of a Neil Young oldie, two contrasting worlds of bombast and bliss".
